Linux, iPhone or Android?
typeout is a desktop application for Windows and macOS. There is no Linux build and no mobile client. If you need something else, tell us what and we will say honestly whether it is on the way.

No administrator rights
typeout installs per-user on Windows. No server, no IT project. Installing over an existing version keeps your profiles, transcripts, settings and login.
Windows may show a security prompt
typeout isn't code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen may stop an installer you have just downloaded. The only visible button is "Don't run" — click "More info", then "Run anyway". Updates from inside typeout apply on their own and never ask.
An internet connection is required
typeout needs an internet connection — recognition runs on our servers, not on your machine.
Updates apply when you quit
They download quietly in the background and apply the next time you quit typeout. Nothing restarts underneath you, and you can switch automatic updates off.
On a Mac, drag typeout to Applications
Open the disk image and drag typeout into your Applications folder. The first time you dictate, typeout asks for the microphone and for Accessibility, which lets it hear your push-to-talk key and type the text. Both live in System Settings under Privacy & Security.
